“Asking the Moon to Supper“ author CJ Clark is an extraordinary writer and visual artist; her descriptive writing takes you to another World, and her illustrations are beyond Magical. Her book is so visceral, you can feel the fierce love felt by an Ojibwa Indian girl in her search for her lost dog and her last family member, across a Magical split in Earth and Time. Her story is a roller coaster ride set in starkly beautiful Nature, exploring the Mysteries of time travel and the Wisdom that follows, even befriending the ancient lonesome Moon. I have re-read the book three times now. It’s the sort of reading journey that you don’t want to end, so welcome in our present times.
